  15. First:  I know this is unimportant, but ...
  16. I have been using Amitcp demo from the 4.0a archive.
  17. And then yesterday I found an archive labelled:
  18. Amitcp-demo-40b.lha
  19. which has only one difference from the 40a archive.
  20. The amitcp executeable is of a different length.
  21. It appears that the timeout of the 40b is set much longer
  22. than the 40a, as I always click on the  OK  and immediately
  23. get a "AmiTCP failed" message.
  24. And the window it opens just says NSDi, not NSDi with the
  25. words AmiTCP/IP overlayed, as does the 40a program.
  26.   
  27. But other folks get it to work OK.  Just not me.
  28. Since 40a works OK, I know I should get on with my life ;-}
  29. But I am curious.  
  30. The 40b program is dated 22-Oct-94
  31. The 40a program is dated 27-Oct-94
  32. The 40b program is 132984 bytes.
  33. The 40a program is 134732 bytes.

  35. If I were to spend the money on AmiTCP commercial, all this would
  36. be moot.  But can anyone explain the differences between these
  37. two versions of AmiTCP?
